It's incredible: since school started over again after all the snow days, I barely had time to rest, let alone write a new post...right now I'm doing so but I shouldn't. I have one history test wednesday, an algebra 2 test (and whoever knows me knows I hate math), a chemistry quizz still on that same day, I have to read a book because I have a reading quizz on monday, I have to read some spanish and answer related questions, and I have to read two sections of my huge and boring IB history book...what kind of life is that? By the way, I haven't started yet...not because I was just doing nothing: I barely sat the whole week-end; Seriously, I can't remember the last time I relaxed and had some rest for more than 2 minutes. Oh yeah I did go to the movies last friday. The only problem was that 5 minutes after the movie had started, a fire alarm went off, and we had to evacuate the building. We waited freezing in the street watching fire trucks come and go. Fortunatly, we were able to go back to our movie after this waste of my precious time. It was great by the way. It was slumdog millionaire; the kind of movie which have the ability to make you want to go to india save the poor children and bless god for the life you have.

A snow day? Again ?

6th day without school. Impressive...Should I be happy or should I not be happy? I think I should. But I am sort of looking forward to see my new schedule. But once I will have seen my new schedule, seen which people are in my classes, well, it will be back to working hard. So yes, I should be happy. The annoying thing though, is that when I wake up, I cannot go back to sleep until late in the evenning the same day, which means that even if right now it would be good if I slept a couple more hours, I cannot.

A summary of the week of the final exams.

I just could not wait to write another post. So it's been almost 5 days without school. (today is a snow day). I can assure you they are well-earned: Last week was the week of mid-semester exams. I'm pretty sure I failed History, maybe Chemistry, Algebra II...I guess I kind of did. (Nespresso) What else? Technology was super easy. There were some questions like: The stone age was principaly marked by: 1)the use of stone tools and weapons 2) the construction of stone statues 3) The use of tin and copper 4) a time of rebirth for science and the arts. God, do you really have to study a lot to know the answer to that? On the other hand, here is a sample IB History question: What is Descartes best known for: 1) He introduced deductive reasonning 2) He introduced inductive reasonning 3) He established the law of (German name) 4) He established the theory of (something only a Chemistry teacher could know about). Ok...Descartes was mentionned only 2 or 3 times in the huge book with almost no picture we have to read for that class and on which our tests are based. How do you expect me to remember those kinds of details? I am not a walking encyclopedia ! What is inductive reasonning by the way? I have no clue ! Yes I am mad !
Anyways it feels good to write. Talking about writing, I got quite passionnate about my TOK essay for the mid-semester exam. Maybe some day I will post the entire thing on this blog but not today. I also got passionnate about my IB English exams. I had great ideas, but although I'm intelligent I am slow because my concentration span is very short. 2 minutes, then I think about something else for 2 minutes, etc. so I did not have time to really write the ideas in an organized and easy to understand way. I hope it will be ok though...Then comes IB Spanish. I love Spanish. My favorite language with French. I think I did pretty good, except on the history part, as usual. I won't write a conclusion for this post, I'm too tired of well-organized essays...

Welcome to a quite interesting blog.

Hello everyone. On this blog I will be discussing my life as a student of the International Baccalaureate (do not care if it's how you write it) diploma student in an american High school. I decided to start this blog because sometimes I have so much work to do and so no social life and life whatsoever that it gets comical, and I wanted to share the fun with the world. Look: I even choose a black background for the blog so that the poor IB students reading my blog could rest their tired eyes. By the way: I will also be sharing with you all the fun of IB (yes I did write the word fun), so that aspiring IB students will not be scared away.
That's it for my first post, and I hope I will have the time to write a second one because second semester starts tomorrow. Y
